You know that the clinic for prospective SCAR skaters is this weekend? That's right -- on April 28th, this Saturday, from 11-1 SCAR Derby will host a basic skills clinic for those who are interested in reffing or rolling.

Bring a $25 clinic fee, safety gear (knee and elbow pads, wrist guards, a helmet, a mouth guard), and a good attitude. You don't have to attend the clinic to try out, but the clinic is where you'll meet some of the team and get training on the skills that you'll be tested on for tryouts. In other words, it's optional but highly recommended.

Penn Skates is our home rink, across from the airport. Please arrive on time to get dressed before the clinic starts.

Finally, please let u know you're coming. Email recruitment@scarderby.com or RSVP on Facebook to the to get on the list of prospective skaters/refs. Again, not strictly necessary, but highly encouraged.

Tryouts will be on May 12th, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. -- you'll need to RSVP to get an interview time before you attend.
